SURF COAST SECONDARY COLLEGE

Digital Technology

At Surf Coast Secondary College we pride ourselves on our refined approach to delivering a contemporary learning structure for our students. Teaching staff at the college assemble learning sequences using digital technologies, these support students to engage with concepts through varied contexts and mediums. Students engage with these sequences and platforms using their iPads from years 7-9 and utilising their MacBooks from 10-12.

Students are supported to engage with their subjects and teacher feedback using several major platforms. Students access their subjects, resources and feedback through Canvas, a comprehensive platform that allows our teachers to assemble learning sequences, support and feedback that students and parents can access in real time.

Students have access to a range of licenced software allowing them to gain experience in industry standard solutions from Adobe, Google and Apple. These solutions provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding using interactive and engaging mediums beyond the norm.

Surf Coast Secondary College maintains an active focus on ensuring students can access contemporary digital platforms that enhance their learning, we provide opportunities for students to engage in external competitions and providers to further develop staff and students understanding of the digital environment they engage with everyday.
