SURF COAST SECONDARY COLLEGE

Wellbeing and Inclusivity

At Surf Coast Secondary College we provide an inclusive, academic and emotional learning environment for our students. We support students and their families, firmly believing that by working together, we are able to provide the best possible outcomes for our students.

We have a dedicated Wellbeing Team, which provides individual and group support for students, as well as managing referrals to other organisations.  We also run a range of Student Engagement Programs, which support students to make connections, build their confidence, and learn new skills outside of the classroom environment.  We’re also fortunate to have support from a range of external organisations such as Headspace, BCYF, and the Surf Coast Shire.

Surf Coast Secondary College firmly believes that schools should be supportive and engaging places for all, as this allows us to build communities that value, celebrate and respond to diversity. Wellbeing in schools provides life-long advantages in health, work, relationships and creativity and improves students academic performance, behavior, social integration and satisfaction- simply put “those who feel better can learn better”.
