SURF COAST SECONDARY COLLEGE
Sub School 11-12
Students in Years 11 and 12 at Surf Coast Secondary College are supported to challenge themselves academically and personally, and to prepare for their future pathways.
The College offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and the VCE Vocational Specialisation Pathway, as well as Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. Students may benefit from the opportunity to accelerate into VCE subjects or access higher studies through Deakin University as part of their senior school certificate at Surf Coast Secondary College. We place high importance on providing a large range of subjects to allow students to choose a diverse and individualised program for the senior years in order to set them up for success in their chosen pathway.
Students in the senior years are supported by a Mentor Teacher, classroom teachers, Learning Community Leader, Sub School Leader and Assistant Principal, as well as by the College’s Careers Team, who work intensively with students to develop meaningful pathways plans.
Outside of the classroom our senior students are encouraged to develop their leadership skills, interpersonal relationships and communication skills through a range of activities including excursions and camps.
